Realme GT Neo 5 smiles for the camera in first leaked image

Realme's upcoming GT Neo 5 has so far been rumored to break the current wired charging record, going all the way up to 240W when it launches. If you were wondering what a phone like that is going to look like, you're in luck because today we get the first leaked image purportedly depicting the GT Neo 5. For now we can only catch this glimpse of its back, but it does give us quite a lot to talk about. For example, check out that vivo-inspired (or is it more accurately Poco-inspired) dual-step camera island! Oh, and while there are two circles in there, the lower one actually houses two...

The Elec: Samsung is forming a new chipset development team within its mobile division

Last month during its Q4 earnings call, Qualcomm basically confirmed that the Galaxy S23 phones will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 globally. All three upcoming phones (S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra) already passed through Geekbench exclusively with the SD 8G2 but The Elec believes that Samsung has not given up on its in-house chipset plans. For years, Samsung outsourced its Exynos chipset production to the Samsung System LSI division – a separate entity from the Samsung MX (Mobile eXperience) division. According to the new report, Samsung is now forming a new chipset/AP development team within...

One UI 5.0/Android 13 arrives on Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, Galaxy S10 Lite and Tab S7 FE

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 5.0/Android 13 update to the Galaxy A71 5G. The phone came out in early 2020 with Android 10, got One UI 3.0/Android 11 in early 2021, then One UI 4.1/Android 12 this March (it skipped One UI 4.0). Now on to another major version of Samsung’s software and the latest Android features. The Galaxy A71 5G is receiving firmware with version A716BXXU6EVL2 and it seems that the UAE is the first country to get it, but that’s just the preliminary rollout, the update should expand to Europe and Asia in the coming days. The update includes new versions of...

vivo X Flip incoming with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

The vivo X Fold+ arrived in late September, but the manufacturer may introduce another foldable phone in the near future. According to Digital Chat Station, a vivo X Flip is in development, and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The clamshell device will aim to compete with the Galaxy Z Flip, Huawei P Pocket series, and the Moto Razr devices. There is also an Oppo N2 Flip smartphone on its way if we can trust the multiple leaks and rumors. The source did not say much about the X Flip. We can only hope this new foldable will escape the domestic scene and bring more...
