Realme's GT Neo2 debuted last week and it went on its first sale today. And it appears it has struck great balance as the units were flying off the shelves. Realme took it to social media to brag about selling over 100,000 units in the first day of market availability. The device is still available for purchase today on Realme China’s website, so there clearly is at least some stock remaining for those that missed the launch of the sales. Source (in Chinese) | Via

Android 12.1 early build shows out foldable optimizations

The mid-cycle update to Android 12 carries the “Snowcone v2” codename and seeing how Android 12 also uses the Snowcone codename it’s safe to assume the 12.1 update will bring minor changes for normal phones while foldables will see most of the action. XDA notes that the launch of the Pixel Fold may coincide with the launch of Android 12.1 so we might not see it at the Pixel 6 event on October 19. Starting with the lock screen, Android 12.1...

iPhone 13 mini matches the 12 Pro Max in DxOMark's camera tests, 13 Pro places 4th overall

Apple used all-new image sensors for the iPhone 13 Pro duo, with a noticeably larger sensor in the main camera. Especially for the smaller Pro, since the 12 Pro missed out on the upgrades that were exclusive to the 12 Pro Max. Said upgrades have been transferred over to the vanilla versions for 2021, however, so even the iPhone 13 mini has a sensor with 1.7 µm pixels and sensor shift stabilization. And that helped push the new mini to 130 points in the DxOMark camera test suite, matching the old iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Pro Max is better at zooming, of course, it has a 2.5x telephoto lens to...
