The Edge browser received a major update early this year that...

Google Maps gains Assistant driving mode, viable alternative to Android Auto app

Android Auto can be found in many modern vehicle head-units, but if you don’t have a compatible radio, Google provides a standalone app that simulated the experience: an interface that only allows access the most important messaging, music, and calling apps while doing it in a way that minimizes distractions. Last year at Google I/O, the company announced a new driving mode was coming, and its now rolling out to Android users in the US. The new driving mode is kind of like if Android Auto was fused into Google Maps, with an emphasis on Google Assistant. We saw a prompt in Google Maps just...

Samsung Galaxy A72 5G stars in shiny leaked renders

Last week we saw the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A52 5G in a comprehensive set of official-looking leaked renders, and today it's time for the same treatment to be afforded to the Galaxy A72 5G. Like the name implies, this is destined to be the successor to the Galaxy A71 5G, and its design language is unsurprisingly incredibly similar to that of the Galaxy A52 5G. Think of the A72 as basically the A52's slightly larger brother. The Galaxy A72 5G is apparently going to become official in early 2021, as per the usually reliable source of these leaks. The phone's back will be plastic...

Apple AirPods 3 to feature AirPods Pro design but no ANC

Back in October reports indicated that the successor to Apple’s regular second-gen AirPods will feature an in-ear design similar to the more premium AirPods Pro albeit without their signature active noise cancelation. Now, South Korean tech news media The Elec is backing up these claims and suggests the next AirPods will release in the first half of 2021. Based on knowledge from industry insiders, the 3rd gen AirPods will feature the same design as the current AirPods Pro with Apple’s H1 chip at the core housed in a new system in a package (SiP) enclosure. The new rumor suggests the...

Samsung Galaxy A02 benchmarked, reveals chipset and RAM

Samsung recently announced the Galaxy A02s and according to recent rumors, the company is looking to launch an even lower-end smartphone called Galaxy A02. A Geekbench listing reveals that such a phone is indeed in the works. The score sheet shows a phone with model number SM-A022F, which perfectly aligns with the A-series naming scheme. The Galaxy A02s, for example, is SM-A025F/DS/G/M depending on the region so this might be the even lower-end vanilla A02 we are talking about here. The limited amount of specs provided back up the theory. The chipset is as MediaTek MT6739WW, which...

Starting with version 84, the macOS build of Firefox will now natively support both Intel x86 and the ARM-based Apple Silicon processors, including the current M1 SoC and all future models.
