Kirin 980 specs leaked, to have 2.8 GHz octa-core CPU

Last year Huawei introduced the Kirin 970 at IFA and it looks like this year's flagship chipset will also be revealed in Berlin. The Kirin 980 is nearing its launch with more leaked specs, including the CPU cluster. According to sources from China, the maximum clock speed will be 2.8 GHz for the top four Cortex-A77 cores. It was another dramatic week in our Top 10 trending chart with the Oppo Find X retaking the top spot from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. The third position is occupied by the newly unveiled Huawei nova 3i, which is the first phone to come with the company's new Kirin 710 chipset.
