Seven years after the start of the industry's largest patent battle, Apple finally won $539 million in damages of the original $1 billion plea. Back in 2012, the iPhone maker won the case as the jury ruled out the full amount but Samsung argued it should pay only $28 million and went for a retrial. This Thursday, the federal court in San Jose, California decided only on damages over three Apple patents that Samsung infringed - the rounded corners of its phone, the rim that goes around the device's front panel and the grid alignment of the icons. In addition, two utility patents that...

Oreo for the LG G6 started rolling out at the end of last month end with Korea becoming the ground for its soak test. This doesn't come as a surprise as a previous report from FCC revealed that the Mi 8 supports 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A quick charge protocols topping at 18W maximum output. We just hope the device...

Nokia X6 flash sale ends in seconds, again

The first Nokia X6 flash sale took place happened a at the start of the week and ended up second later on the same day. The reservation count was around 700,000, but we as is usually the case with these sales we are not sure how many units were available. The second sale happened today and unwrapped in much the same way. With the sort of interest the phone enjoys in China, the global rollout might take a bit longer than we'd like as the company needs to pile up some stock. Anyway, the next sale is set for May 30 and we can't imagine it will last more than a few minutes. Via
