T-Mobile's BOGO deal on the LG G6 was supposed to last until June 8. However, surprisingly, it has been pulled. The link to the deal web-page on the magenta carrier's website is now inactive, and the following leaked screenshot clearly confirms that promotion is over. No information on why the deal has been pulled abruptly. As you can see in the leaked image above, T-Mobile is asking its executives to refer customers inquiring about the deal to LG. And indeed, that's what is happening (see image below). Via

New leak reveals Motorola's lineup for 2017
The usually reliable leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter) has shared a new leak that pretty much reveals Motorola's entire 2017 lineup. The leaked image shows a presentation slide that details the company's 'c', 'e', 'g', 'X', and 'Z' series of devices. Motorola 2017 [via tip] http://pic.twitter.com/qahD9PIxrD Evan Blass (@evleaks) May 14, 2017 Starting with the 'Z' series, which is tagged as "UNLIMITED CAPABILITIES," it consists of the z play and the z force. The former will sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and offer support for Moto Mods. On the other hand, the latter - aside from...
Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S8+ available for $805 in US
If you are in the US and want an Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy S8+, you might want to take a look at the deal an eBay retailer is offering. fashionlife786 - a Top Rated Plus retailer - is selling the international model (SM-G955FD) of the flagship for $804.99. The variant on offer is a dual-SIM one, and is only compatible with GSM networks, meaning those on CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint are out of luck. Available color options include black and gold (listing reveals Gray is out of stock). For comparison, Samsung is officially selling Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S8/S8+ in the...
Just in: Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra hands-on
A week after we reviewed the Xperia XA1, its bigger brother the Xperia XA1 Ultra came knocking at our office's door. Having similar design, the Jumbo-sized mid-ranger comes with mightier battery, bigger screen of higher resolution and more impressive front camera. And here are our first impressions. The Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with a matte finish on the back and a scratch-resistant glass on the front. The device is hefty as is to be expected from a 6" beast, but handling it is reasonably comfortable, thanks to the minuscule bezels on the sides. The bezels on the top and bottom are...
Counterclockwise: how big can mini phones get?
We have witnessed a steady growth of smartphone screen sizes, a process that isn't showing signs of slowing down even though many handsets are already pushing up against 6 inches. Some bemoan the loss of small phones, taking solace in the occasional "mini" phone. But we've also seen the term "mini" abused. The ZTE Axon mini from 2015 has a 5.2" screen, which isn't quite as advertised. Well, we suppose as the measurements of plus-sized phones grow then so must the dimensions of petite phones. Here are some of the most famous minis in history. Note that we're only including phones with...
Weekly poll: what is the ideal screen size?
About a year ago we asked you what was the ideal screen screen size and the answer was "between 5-inch and 5.3-inch". Will the answer be the same this year? Last year we pointed out the growth trend in most product lines. For example, the original iPhone had a 3.5" screen, the iPhone 6 Plus went up to 5.5". That trend is still going, though most recently we're noticing a shift in it - screens are growing taller, but not wider. The LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 have bigger screens than their predecessors with an aspect ratio wider than 16:9. We've always said that width is the limiting...
Week 19 in review: OnePlus 5 and Refurbished Galaxy Note7 leak as HTC U 11 teasers keep coming
Week 19 of 2017 was a busy one with leaks coming from all directions. OnePlus was easily the company to make the most headlines as the pieces of the company's upcoming 5 flagship puzzle start to fall into place. Meanwhile, Samsung is preparing to relaunch the infamous Galaxy Note7 as a refurbished device, while the iPhone SE is also likely to get an updated 2017 version. The only major announcement came from Qualcomm, which introduced its latest mid-range offerings - the Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630. The first of those promises to bring premium performance to mid-range phones,...
Weekly poll results: accessories matter
People want a solid bundle when they buy a new phone - nearly half of voters expect a good quality charger and headphones to come in the box. That is for high-end phones, of course, low-cost handsets can squeak by with a basic package, but expensive phones have to justify their cost. Some - a third of voters - go even further, they want to get a additional extras. History shows that a solid bundle is a good way to draw in a crowd. We remember the Nokia 5800, which came with a whole sack of goodies, but bundles can be strategic too. Samsung paired its Galaxy flagships with a Gear VR...
Top 10 trending phones of week 19
It was a relatively calm week in our top 10 chart with the top three remaining unchanged. That means the Samsung Galaxy S8 tops the list for the 7th week in a row, while the Galaxy J7 Prime and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 complete the rostrum. The larger member of the new Samsung flagship duo - Samsung Galaxy S8+ surged to 4th, overtaking the Xiaomi Mi 6 in the process. The entry-level Xiaomi Redmi 4a claimed 6th, ahead of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge - all three gaining a spot thanks to the Sony Xperia XZ Premium which fell off the top 10. The two-and-a-half...
