Weekly poll results: iPad Pro 12.9 (2021) shows great promise, but iPadOS needs to be better

The new iPad Pro 12.9 (2021) is showing great potential. It came out on top in last week’s poll, collecting many positive votes even though it is an expensive device, which naturally limits its appeal. A consensus formed in the comment section – the Apple M1 chipset is great, but it is wasted on iPadOS. Even though it branched off iOS, it is still much closer to a phone OS (an iPhone at that) than it is to macOS. Accessories can extend the capabilities of the iPad Pro, but it's still not a Mac This locks you out of a lot of professional software, limits what you can do with the...

Xiaomi Black Shark 4 in for review

Say hello to the Black Shark 4, the lower standing member of Xiaomi's latest gaming smartphone duo. Differentiated from the Black Shark 4 Pro by the Snapdragon 870 in place of the 888 and a slightly different set of cameras, the Black Shark 4 is still an impressive phone. We got the Chinese version model with an included 120W charger that can top up the 4,500mAh battery of the Black Shark 4 in just 17 minutes, but depending on where you live you're likelier to get the 67W charger in the box. As that's still plenty fast, so we really can't count it against it. Our unit comes with...

The Chinese certifying authority doesn't divulge anything else about the X60t Pro, but the smartphone is expected to have the Dimensity 1200 SoC under the hood. 3C certification reveals Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 will come with 25W charger

New details about Samsung’s next folding flagship have emerged, this time from the 3C certification site. A listing matching the supposed technical model number of the Galaxy Z Fold3 reveals that the folding device will come included with a 25W fast charger. The included adapter has the model number EP-TA800 and is the same one that comes included with the Galaxy Z Fold2. Though the charger included is rated for 25W, it isn’t implausible that the phone itself could support faster charging speeds when using another compatible adapter - this is out of pure speculation. It was...
