Motorola's Razr foldable phone to land in Europe in December with a €1,500 price tag

Motorola has long been rumored to revive the Razr line with its first foldable smartphone, and new details have come in today about this device. As anticipated, it will be a mid-ranger, and it should apparently get a release in Europe in December 2019 or January 2020. To get one, you will need to part with no less than €1,500. Compared to Samsung's Galaxy Fold and Huawei's Mate X that is much cheaper indeed, but the new Razr will still be around 50% more expensive than its competitors' top of the line handsets with non-folding screens. Thus, it may turn out to be a tough sell. The...

Leaked Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 ad shows off NFC

Xiaomi is busy shooting promo videos for the Redmi Note 8 and that carries a risk of leaks. We saw the Redmi Note 8 Pro starring in an ad yesterday, now a clip has surfaced on TikTok showing the Redmi Note 8 using its NFC. Yes, NFC. It's not the most exciting feature, but Xiaomi phones tend to omit it, it's something reserved for the flagship Mi series. NFC has been gaining adoption in China as AliPay and Apple Pay adopt it (QR codes are still prevalent, though). It's not clear if this is the "Pro" model or not or quite what will be the differences between the two. The Pro is...
