Huawei Mate 40 renders showcase gigantic circular camera bump

We have another round of CAD-based renders to look at today, and these are said to depict the upcoming Huawei Mate 40. However, we're thinking this may be the Mate 40 Pro as well, or even the Mate 40 Pro+, as three versions of the flagship phone have been rumored - and such a strategy would emulate what Huawei's done with the P40 family. Anyway, let's assume this is the vanilla Mate 40. It has a gigantic circular rear camera bump, that's probably the biggest one we've ever seen. There are three cameras inside, with a fourth space seemingly empty, but that might be employing a LIDAR...

The PS Move Controllers and PlayStation VR Aim Controller for PS VR games included. The PS4 controllers, on the other hand, will only be compatible with PS4 games played on the PS5 console. Additionally, the Platinum and Gold Wireless Headsets along with all other...

iPhone 12 lienup to be released in two stages due to supply chain issues

This isn't the first time we hear about Apple's supply chain issues and how it may affect the release of this year's iPhones. In fact, last week Apple itself confirmed those rumors saying that the handsets will hit the market later than usual, meaning sometime in October. But this new report coming from Digitimes claims that the rollout of the new devices will be split into two stages. The first stage will deliver the two 6.1-inch iPhones while the second stage will bring the 6.7-inch and 5.4-inch members of the lineup. Unfortunately, there's no info on when those waves will happen...

Moto E7 Plus visits Geekbench, packs twice as much RAM as the vanilla E7

A Motorola Moto E7 Plus ran Geekbench earlier today. It’s an Android 10 phone with 4 GB of RAM, which puts it above the vanilla Moto E7. That one leaked on the Google Play Console with only 2 GB of RAM. Moto E7 Plus: Geekbench 4.3 result The vanilla model will be powered by the Snapdragon 632 chipset, that much we know from the Console. However, the E7 Plus motherboard is listed as “guam” and it’s not clear which Snapdragon that refers to. Presumably, a 6 or 7-series chip as it would be odd for the Plus model to get a lower end chip. The Geekbench 4.3 score lines up with what we...

Samsung may be looking to acquire a stake in ARM

Samsung is considering acquiring a small stake in ARM, between 3% and 5%, reports an industry official. The plan is for the remaining shares to be bought by a consortium of fabless semi-conductor companies, adds the insider. Samsung’s goal is to reduce the royalty payments for producing chipsets based on the ARM platform – the Cortex CPU and Mali GPU designs. The Korean giant uses these in its Exynos chipsets. Even if a company skips Cortex in favor of its own CPU design (e.g. the M-series cores), it still needs to pay a royalty for the use of the ARM instruction set. That’s not a...

The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. There are no versions with extra storage nor a microSD card so that will have to do it. Motorola RAZR 5G photographed, shows redesigned chin

The Motorola RAZR 5G was first mentioned months ago, but it’s only now that we’re seeing tangible clues. After the first image of the new foldable leaked last week, now three new shots show the phone in the hand. The iconic chin seems to have been tempered down and the fingerprint reader has moved. Where to? Even Samsung’s Z Fold 2 and Z Flip 5G are not expected to have in-display readers, so maybe Motorola moved it to the side of the phone not seen in the photos. Motorola RAZR 5G in the hand Also, note the single camera – a recent rumor claimed that this cam will be upgraded...
