iQOO 9T's key specs tipped, V1+ chip in tow

iQOO recently told us that it will launch the iQOO 9T in India by the end of this month with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The company hasn't divulged anything else about it yet, but key specs of the iQOO 9T have surfaced, telling us what to expect from the smartphone. The source claims that the iQOO 9T will come with a "segment first 120Hz E5 AMOLED display" and support 120W charging. It will also have the V1+ chip onboard that we saw on the vivo X80 Pro, and the camera system on the rear will be headlined by a 50MP GN5 camera we had on the iQOO 9 Pro. But this time, it will come with...

Nothing Phone (1) will have in-display fingerprint scanner

This morning, Nothing premiered a video on YouTube offering some behind-the-scenes looks at the creation of the company and the development of the Nothing Phone (1). In the following video, we get a look at the assembly line, design and development of the Glyph and its sounds, and we sit in a meeting with Qualcomm. At the 4:18 mark, the display panel clearly shows an outline of an in-display fingerprint scanner. If that wasn’t evidence enough, Nothing’s TikTok channel showed the in-display fingerprint in action. The Nothing Phone (1) is a mid-range smartphone from...

Windows Subsystem for Android updated with advanced networking and usability improvements

One of the more interesting features of Windows 11 is the Subsystem for Android that’s built it. This lets Windows 11 users run Android apps either natively or through X86 emulation depending on the machine’s hardware. Today, Microsoft has released an update to all Windows Insider channels (US only) that improves the overall usability of the Subsystem for Android and adds some new features for developers and users alike. We’ve made a huge change to networking! We’re not introducing advanced networking, which enables app access to local network devices for ARM computers, allowing...

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G and A04s are on the way to India

The Bureau of Indian Standards, otherwise known as BIS, certifies all the smartphones that are going to be offered in the country, and the latest two to appear as officially certified by BIS come from Samsung. However, neither of these has become official anywhere else up until this point. We're talking about the Galaxy A23 5G and the Galaxy A04s. They are both going to be sold in India once they get unveiled. The Galaxy A23 5G shouldn't be confused with the Galaxy A23, which is 4G-only and already official in some markets. Samsung Galaxy A04s previously leaked renders The Galaxy...

BOE gets iPhone 14 OLED screen orders after all

Apple is in fact going to use OLED display panels made by Chinese company BOE for the iPhone 14 line, according to a new report from China today. Allegedly, BOE's panels for the upcoming iPhones were certified by Apple last Thursday, and BOE plans to start mass producing them before the end of this month. Mass shipments of the panels to Apple will take place in September, which is the month when the Cupertino company traditionally announces new iPhones. BOE's role in the iPhone 14 supply chain was in doubt for a few weeks after Apple discovered that BOE unilaterally changed some...

The OnePlus 10T may have just set a high score on AnTuTu

An AnTuTu scorecard for the OnePlus 10T may have been discovered and it sets the benchmark for Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 performance, writes leakster Digital Chat Station. A OnePlus phone, PHP110, ran AnTuTu version 9.4.0 and came out with a score of 1.13 million. For comparison, the Asus ROG Phone 6 gets around 1.11 million on that version, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra gets 1.10 million (both of which use the 8+ Gen 1 chip as well). It’s a pretty slim margin, but the OnePlus is in the lead. Assuming the score is confirmed, of course (the AnTuTu team hasn’t posted anything about it yet). The OnePlus...
