US budget chief wishes to further delay Huawei ban as possible implications raise concerns

A new report from The Wall Street Journal mentions a letter sent to US Vice President Mike Pence and several other members of congress from Rulles Vought, the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget. This letter, obtained by the Journal says that the National Defense Authorization Act signed by President Trump - the one that explicitly banned Huawei from doing business with US companies, would result in a "dramatic reduction" of the number of suppliers available to work with the US Government. While the Administration recognizes the importance of these prohibitions to...

If you aren't very impressed with Google's recently launched mid-range Pixel 3a XL but still want a big Pixel, how about a Pixel 3 XL? If you don't mind the huge notch and the entire front design that screams "outdated" already, then B&H has a deal for you. For a short amount of time, while the limited supplies last, you can get a Pixel 3 XL with 128GB of storage for just $649.99. That's a whopping $350 off the usual price, so this is a very good deal. Google Assistant finally works in Waze

The Google Assistant is almost three years old now, and Google acquired Waze way back in 2013. However, it took until now for the Assistant to finally work inside Waze. You have reason to celebrate, if you're a Waze user and have been patiently waiting for this moment - but only if you're in the US and have an Android phone and its language is set to English. The rollout is limited for now, hopefully it will expand soon, but Google isn't sharing any details about that yet. You can ask the Assistant to report traffic or potholes or crashes or whatever else you may come across on your...

Google Pixel 4 supposedly showcased in oddly dark renders

A few hours ago we showed you some hands-on images of a phone that was alleged to be the upcoming Google Pixel 4. It had a familiar look, but with two rear cameras in the top left corner, and two selfie shooters in the top right corner of the screen - yes, it looks like Google is going with the (in)famous punch-hole tech this year. Now we have a couple of new renders of the Pixel 4, except these don't look anything like any of the previous leaks. In fact, they much more closely resemble Apple's oft-leaked design change for this year's iPhones, with a huge square camera island on the back,...

Oppo foldable phone with pop-up camera shown in patent

Back in February, we got to see several folding phones and among Samsung and Huawei's flaghips, a less prominent foldable prototype was showcased by Oppo. With Samsung's Galaxy Fold being delayed and no word on Huawei's Mate X it seems like foldable phones took another setback, but they are undoubtedly a question of when rather than if. Oppo prototype folding phone Back in October 2018, Oppo filled a patent for its own foldable phone with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and the very same patent was published recently. Alongside a brief overview of the device we...
