LG V30S ThinQ can be yours for just $679.99 for a limited time

LG initially priced the V30S ThinQ at a whopping $929.99 unlocked in the United States, but apparently not a lot of people were willing to pay that much. We assume that's the case since the phone's price dropped by $200 while it was still on pre-order. It's now been in stock for a while, and today you can take advantage of the best deal we've seen yet - namely, purchasing a V30S ThinQ for only $679.99. That's $250 off the launch price and $50 cheaper than it was before this point. The only caveat here is that there's a limited supply available at this price. So if you're interested in...

Oppo Realme 1 review

The 2018 budget smartphone scene is an unforgiving battlefield. It's a place not too many manufacturers are willing to go to and Oppo, for sure, hasn't gone down so low on the price scale up so far. The Realme 1 is Oppo's first device in a brand new ultra-budget line and it's nothing short of a loud and flamboyant show of power. Potentially even a declaration of war.

Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL leaked screen protectors reveal stereo speakers, notch

Since Android P has native support for screen notches, it's long been assumed that Google would adopt the latest trend in the mobile world with its next-gen Pixels. Today a leak purporting to show screen protectors for both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL confirms that, partially. If this is legit (and that's a big "if"), then only the bigger model will sport a notch, as you can see from the images below. The smaller Pixel 3 will have a different design, basically emulating what happened last year with the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, which, from the front, looked nothing alike. Google Pixel 3...

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star (G8850) shows up in quick hands-on video

Rumors of two Samsung devices got conflated - the G8850 with dual cameras and what eventually became the Galaxy S Light Luxury (aka S8 Lite). G8850 rumors have been revitalized with this short hands-on video and its purported name is "Galaxy A9 Star". Note that the S Light Luxury was rumored as the A8 Star at one point. Anyway, according to TENAA, the phone packs a 6.28" AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,220 px resolution (note that TENAA updated the specs since they were initially published). It comes with a large 3,700 mAh battery and will have slightly different dimensions than the Galaxy...

LG Q7 Stylus+ to debut in Taiwan soon

Last week, LG unveiled the Q7 in three versions - LG Q7, LG Q7α and LG Q7+ - but the previously rumored LG Q7 Stylus wasn't a part of the announcement. It turns out the phone is still coming and pretty soon as evidenced by its Taiwanese National Communications Commission filling. An LG handset with model name LG LM-Q710 was listed under the name LG Q7 Stylus+. It seems the Q7 Stylus+ will launch alongside the LG Q7+, also certified by the Taiwanese NCC, in the country. The filling doesn't share much of the specs but we expect the LG Q7 Stylus+ to have similar specs to the LG...

OnePlus 6 removed the Always On Display feature just before launch

OnePlus has strong opinions about what its users want - and it's not wireless charging and not an Always On Display either. The feature was available on pre-release units, but was disabled with the very first update. Apparently, the battery life trade-off was deemed too great. The now-removed Always On Display option Here's a (now deleted) response from OnePlus: We have an official update from our Technical Team confirming that always on display on OnePlus 6 was removed due to battery saving concern. We hope that this clarifies your concern. Let us know if there's...

Pandora offers new $15/month Family plan

In 2016, Pandora unveiled its $5/month Plus subscription service, then in 2017 it launched the $10/month Premium service. Now there's a third option - Premium Family, which costs just $15/month and can be shared by up to 6 people. That is essentially the same deal you get from Spotify's and Apple Music's family plans (though Apple's is for only 5 people). Each person on the Family plan gets same benefits as the individual Premium plan - offline listening, no ads, high-quality audio. Each can set up their own custom radio stations and playlists. You can make the switch by heading to your...

Xiaomi Mi 8 pictured, to come with own Animojis

Xiaomi Mi 8 is coming on May 31, but the device is unveiled one leak at a time, or in this case, several leaks at once. According to the latest leaked video the Chinese company will have its own animojis, similar to what Apple introduced with the iPhone X back in September and what Samsung offers for its Galaxy S9 duo. Meanwhile the Xiaomi Mi 8's dual camera appeared in a couple posters. The sourcerevealed that it would be better than the dual setup of Mi Mix 2S, currently the best one in a Xiaomi smartphone. As we established in our review of the phablet, it produces great photos....

Meizu VP shares sample selfie photo from the M6T

First it was the main camera of the Meizu M6T and now Meizu's Vice President Li Nan teased the front-facing one on his official Weibo account. The picture is just a selfie - no clever faux bokeh here - although there does seem to be some heavy beautification processing applied to the subject's face. The image is most likely resized as it shows a 6MP resolution, when TENAA specs have pointed to an 8MP selfie camera. Meizu M6T selfie snap Meizu will unveil the M6T tomorrow at a special event in Beijing. The M6T will have a Spreadtrum SC9850 chipset, 13MP+2MP dual camera, the...

Honor Play to be unveiled on June 6, with groundbreaking 4D gaming experience

The Honor brand has a life of its own and its own release schedule. The next event is on June 6 (Wednesday next week) which will bring us the Honor Play. Not much is known about the phone, except the pervasive AI logo. There's talk of a "groundbreaking 4D gaming experience" based on AI, thought it's unclear what that means exactly. The AI will also be in charge of the camera, similar to what we saw on the Honor 10, which in turn means that it could be this device from TENAA - known only as LLD-AL30 for now. An invite to the Honor Play event on June 6 It too has a 5.84" screen...

Alleged Galaxy Note9 glass protector shows little design change

A tempered glass screen protector has leaked and it's allegedly destined for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note9. The protector looks identical to the same product for the current Samsung Galaxy Note8, which means one of two things - either the next Note flagship will have the same screen size and no notch, or this is a protector for the Note8. Given the contributor's track record, this may be the real deal, though. Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note9 tempered glass screen protector There's even a little video of the protector being handled. The Galaxy Note9 debut is expected...

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite heads to the US as the 5Q, will launch in late July

The Asus Zenfone 5 has multiple flavors, but they are yet to launch in the US and this won't change quickly. The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite ZC600KL is now up on Amazon for pre-order under the name Zenfone 5Q. The price is set at $300 and stock is expected to be available on July 31 - two months from now. At least it's the Snapdragon 630 version, which features 4K at 30 fps video recording and better charging (not fast by any measure, it does 10W). So, it's not perfect, but there's plenty to like about the phone. For one, it doesn't have a notch unlike the other two models. It features a...

Moto Z3 Play with 5G Moto Mod appears in live images

Motorola Moto Z3 Play is arriving on June 6, as we reported on Friday. The phone will be able to work with older Moto Mods, will have "immersive" 6" display and revamped 12 MP dual camera. According to a new leak, courtesy of XDA Developers, the Z3 Play will be able to reach 5G speeds thanks to a new Moto Mod that will debut alongside it. The image shows there is a bit of antenna, peeking out of the top end of the Mod. It is said to enable 1 Gbps speeds on the Z3 Play since Snapdragon 636's X12 modem can reach only 600 Mbps. We sincerely hope this Mod will have practical use in...

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 confirmed for Thursday announcement

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi Band 3 will go official later this week during the company's May 31 event. The confirmation came from the company's CEO Lei Jun in a Weibo post. The executive also confirmed the wearable spotted on his wrist during the Black Shark gaming smartphone launch event was indeed the Mi Band 3. Jun further said Xiaomi has been testing the Band 3 for two-three months, and found it to be far better than the company's previous two Mi Bands. The wearable is expected to sport a display similar to its predecessor, but could come with a 2.5D curved glass...

Mid-range Xiaomi with a notch revealed by TENAA

Five days ago a Xiaomi device, codenamed M1804C3DE appeared on TENAA and from the looks of it, it was the upcoming Redmi 6. Today a new entry appeared on the Chinese regulator's website, revealing a slightly bigger phone, that is most likely the Plus version, similar to the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus duo. Since it sports a 12 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup, it might also be named Redmi Note 6 or Redmi 6 Pro. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Plus/Pro on TENAA The addition to the Redmi 6 series will have 5.84" screen with Full HD+ resolution. The ratio is 19:9, meaning it will have a notch....

RAM is 2GB, while internal memory is 16GB. The camera department features a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front unit.
