Redmi 10 leaks with specs and images: 50MP camera confirmed

The Redmi 10 smartphone has accidentally been leaked by Singaporean retailer Courts. The website is currently having issues displaying the listings, but other websites managed to gather all the info like specs and official images. The phone will have four cameras on the back, with the main one packing a 50MP sensor. It will also come with a design that was introduced by the Mi 10 Ultra - a silver highlight around the most important shooter. The Redmi 10 will be powered by the recently announced Helio G88 chipset by Mediatek. It has an octa-core CPU, with two Cortex-A75 units going...

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 in for review

Back in May, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announced it sold over 25 million units of the original Redmi Note 8 globally. And to celebrate the milestone, the company introduced a refreshed version of the Redmi Note 8, dubbed Redmi Note 8 2021, which we have with us today at the office for the full review. We've received the Neptune Blue color variant for review, but you also have the option to purchase the Moonlight White or Space Black models. The Redmi Note 8 2021 looks identical to the original Note 8 from 2019, and at first glance you might not be able to tell them apart. The smartphone...

After some initial hesitation Samsung confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on August 11 and will go under the slogan “Get ready to unfold”. You may have been following the countless leaks closely, but if you haven’t, here is a summary of what will be unveiled on Wednesday. In short, two foldables (Fold and...

Top 10 trending phones of week 31

Following Google's extensive teaser for its upcoming Pixel 6 duo the vanilla member quickly became the most popular phone in our database. Long time leader Redmi Note 10 Pro climbed back to second as the winner of last week's edition of the chart - the Huawei P50 Pro completes the podium. The Poco F3 GT slipped to fourth, as the OnePlus Nord 2 also lost a couple of positions and placed fifth. We then have the Poco X3 Pro ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Redmi Note 10 - all three in the exact same positions as last week. The Poco X3 GT is down in ninth, while the...

Weekly poll: is the Google Pixel 6 duo shaping up to heroes or zeroes?

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be rather exclusive phones – no, seriously, they will be available in only eight countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and the US). And from comments that Google execs have been making, they will not be cheap. We don’t have the full details yet, far from it, in fact. But Google did confirm the most interesting bits about the 6-series Pixels – they will be powered by Google’s first custom mobile chipset, the Tensor. This is not to be confused with Tensor cores in Nvidia GPUs (even though they are both named after...

Flashback video: the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 and how it bet on the wrong OS

After a series of successful feature phones, Sony Ericsson suddenly found itself in need of a touchscreen phone. In the past the company had used the touch-enabled UIQ front end for Symbian OS, but its fate was uncertain – the Symbian Foundation formed with Nokia at the top, so its preferred S60 was chosen as the Foundation’s main interface. Sony Ericsson didn’t have the in-house expertise to create a new touch-driven phone quickly, so it tapped HTC to create a new model – the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. While today we associate the Xperia name with Android phones, that wasn’t the case at...
