BlackBerry Keyone launched, UK gets it first
The BlackBerry Keyone has been launched. The device is now available for purchase in the UK from retailer Selfridges (Oxford Street, London). The information came courtesy of a press release which also revealed the pricing: £499 (around $645). The press release also confirmed that Carphone Warehouse will be the next retailer to carry the handset in the UK, and will start selling it May 5 onwards, something we already know. LG Q1 fiscal results: profit is good, but mobile division still lagging
LG Electronics posted its Q1 financial numbers and it had the best result in almost a decade. Sadly, the Mobile Communications division wasn't a big part of that as its revenue only rose 2% YoY. Total smartphone shipments were up 10% on a yearly basis to 14.8 million units. It was mostly mid-range smartphones like the K-series that bumped those numbers.
