Samsung Galaxy A23 passes through Geekbench just as A23 5G renders leak
Samsung is working on new and exciting low-end devices to fit into the A series, and today we have news about the upcoming Galaxy A23 and A23 5G. Let's start with the former. The A23, with model number SM-A235F, has been spotted in the Geekbench database, since someone in possession of a prototype apparently decided to put it through the paces. This reveals that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset (based on the "Motherboard" codename that's easily identifiable), and at least one version of it will have 4GB of RAM (as does the prototype that's been tested)....

The upcoming Poco F4 GT has been spotted by an inquisitive tipster in a bunch of places getting its certifications ready before launch: FCC, IMEI, EEC, and TUV. All of these certifications reveal that the phone will launch running MIUI 13 out of the box, unsurprisingly as that's the latest iteration of Xiaomi's skin (which Poco also uses). Starting with the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Samsung ships its smartphones with the Google Messages app as the default messaging app. Before this, Samsung had its own stock messaging app that was compatible with RCS as the default app in the US. Lenovo has been teasing the Legion Y90 since the beginning of the year, but the gaming phone is yet to achieve official status. Canalys: Foldables to reach 30 million yearly shipments by 2024
The latest Canalys report has some bold predictions for the foldable smartphone market in the near future. The early forecast suggests a yearly shipment rate of 30 million foldables in 2024 meaning a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 53% between 2021 and 2024. At the same time, Canalys expects the average selling price (ASP) of foldables to drop in half from 2019 values to around $1,000 in 2024.
