Fairphone 4 5G certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance

The next Fairphone smartphone will be called the “Fairphone 4 5G” and indirectly confirmed by the phone’s certification with the Wi-Fi Alliance as reported by WinFuture. The certification does not tell us anything more about the next Fairphone. The Fairphone 3 launched back in August 2019, with a refreshed Fairphone 3+ arriving with updated cameras a littler afterwards in August 2020. This could mean the next Fairphone is approaching its own launch window. Fairphone 3+ Fairphone is a Dutch company that focuses on sustainable phones that are affordable, and with materials...

The Elec reports that a Korean supplier Hyvision System will be supplying Focxonn with “camera module inspection equipment.” This kind of equipment is used to inspect the alignment of axes of various...

Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 895/898 tests show 20% performance improvement

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 runs pretty hot, even wildly so under some circumstances on some phones. The Snapdragon 865/865+/870 family doesn't have this problem, on the other hand. If you were expecting the next generation of Qualcomm's top of the line chipsets to be cooler than the 888, well, you might be in for a surprise. According to a rumor out of China, the first testing of samples using Samsung's 4nm litography shows a 20% improvement in performance for the upcoming chip, which has the model number SM8450 and may be branded as either Snapdragon 895 or 898... or who knows what else....

So far we know that there will be a BMW M Sport special edition, as well as details about the devices' cameras, chipsets, and screens. Today iQOO has outed the fact that both the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro will feature 120W fast wired...

Realme Book Slim will be able to control a Realme phone with PC Connect

Realme's upcoming laptop will have a smartphone connect feature, similar to Huawei's Share or Microsoft's Your Phone that would let users control their smartphone from the PC and share files. The feature, called PC Connect, will likely work between the soon to be announced Realme Book and a list of supported Realme smartphones - like Huawei's exclusive solution. Unlike Huawei's solution, which is initiated with NFC when you tap the phone on the laptop's touchpad, Realme's is expected to use Wi-Fi Direct. ‌Being a trendsetting technology pioneer, we are back with "THE BIGGEST LAUNCH...

Xiaomi exec: Mix 4 is a phone for full-screen experience, not selfies

Xiaomi launched the Mix 4 smartphone earlier this week, and it is the company’s first device with an under-display camera. The company calls it CUP (camera under panel) and it was designed to offer a full-screen experience at the expense of selfie quality. That was confirmed by William Lu, Senior VP at Xiaomi, on his Weibo page. Lu recommended people to buy phones with punch holes if they want selfies with the best possible quality from a front-facing camera. He also said that if they left the display area over the camera very visible it would have been better to stick with...
