Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 leaks in live images, shows off its dual rear cameras

Samsung is working on a new flagship tablet, and up until very recently we thought this would be called Galaxy Tab S5, since its predecessor is the Tab S4. But for some reason Samsung is choosing to skip the number 5 and go straight to 6. And thus we have the upcoming Galaxy Tab S6, which has just been leaked in some live images. Here it is in all its blurry prototype glory: Galaxy Tab S6 live images The name is confirmed by the boot logo so at this point there should be little doubt in your mind that the lower-end Galaxy Tab S5e will not get a higher-end non-e S5 companion. The...

Camera night mode on Galaxy S9 and Note9 crashes for some users

Samsung has recently brought its dedicated camera night mode to the Galaxy S9 family and the Note9, but for these devices unfortunately it's not all smooth sailing. Some frustrated owners have taken to online forums such as XDA-Developers to vent about the camera app crashing and not saving pictures taken in this mode. The app just throws a "camera failed" warning at the user and calls it a day (or night, as would be more fitting in this case). To be perfectly clear, this doesn't seem to affect every S9 or Note9 owner, and not all people are affected in the same way. Some report the camera...

Realme C2 celebrates 1 million sold units with online deals

Realme is a relatively new smartphone brand, but thanks to its aggressive pricing and nicely quickly expanding portfolio it's quickly gaining ground. Today the company announced it pushed over 1 million units of the Realme C2, and to celebrate the accomplishment, it is launching an open sale with 2-year extended warranty. The phone was recently called the #DeshKaRealChoice, or People's Real Choice in an attempted flame war on Twitter between Realme India's CEO Madhav Sheth and Redmi, Xiaomi's affordable brand. The executive mocked the newly launched Redmi 7A, highlighting some...

Samsung Galaxy M60 hands-on video may have leaked, shows 48+16MP dual camera

A excerpt from an unboxing video of the Samsung Galaxy M60 has inadvertently found its way to YouTube. The video suggests that this phone will have the best camera in the M-series, but it is clearly incomplete so it's light on details. The camera is listed as 48MP (IMX 586) + 16MP. The purpose of the second module is not clarified, but given the resolution it has to be either a telephoto or an ultra wide-angle cam. The arrangement with the LED flash between the two camera modules is different from Samsung's current designs. The back seems strange, but that's just a case. You can see the...

According to new reports coming from supply chain insiders, Apple is planning an overhaul of its most affordable tablet with a new design and larger 10.2-inch screen. The new entry-level iPad will reportedly enter mass production later this month and could be introduced this Fall. Apple's current 9.7-inch iPad was introduced back in 2018 with support for the first gen Apple pencil and a $329 starting price. It was a minor refresh over the 2017 version so to say the line is need of an upgrade is an understatement. In other news, reports from DigiTimes claim that 3D touch won't be...

The refresh brings a completely re-designed visual experience with higher resolution graphics and new characters as well as Wi-Fi multiplayer with up to 8 friends. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 not coming as company moves straight to Tab S6

Aside from a possible release date and some rumors about the hardware, there's not much we can talk about the upcoming flagship tablet from Samsung. But according to a renown leakster, Evan Blass, the tablet lineup will skip the S5 name and will go straight to Tab S6. This is rather unexpected especially when you weigh in the fact that the budget variant Galaxy Tab S5e is already on the market. Sadly, @evleaks didn't go into details, so only time will tell why Samsung is skipping the Tab S5 name. Source

Snapdragon 215 unveiled: faster 64-bit CPU, dual camera support, still 28nm

Qualcomm introduced a new chipset for entry-level smartphones - the Snapdragon 215. It's a tangible upgrade over the Snapdragon 212 with a 64-bit CPU, a faster GPU and support for dual cameras. However, the chip is still built on the old 28nm node. The new CPU features four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.3GHz, which ARM claims are 50% faster than the four A7 cores inside the old chipset. Being 64-bit is the bigger upgrade, however, as it should massively improve compatibility with new versions of Android - the Nokia 2, for example, is stick on Oreo. Anyway, the GPU is an Adreno 308, which...

An analyst expects Cupertino to bring three new OLED phones with 5G modems and at least two of them will also have ToF camera. Apple usually releases its phones in September right in time for the holiday season, but we already know 2019 will see only three new devices with an unusual camera setup, but improved shooters overall. The analysis from JPMorgan also revealed that Apple is going for the "value" market, meaning a phone with the size of the iPhone 8, but without the...
