Realme 5 series arriving on August 20

Remember when it was cool to write l1k3 tha7? Well, Realme is trying to bring back the trend for some reason with the marketing campaign around the Realme 5 series. The new phones are launching on August 20, according to a teaser on Flipkart, where Realme is asking to join "the real 5quad". Obviously, Realme is sticking to the "5quad" term, since the 5 will have a quad camera. However, we had hands-on with the camera setup and we were told that the 64 MP shooter will arrive in time for Diwali, which is on October 27. This means the Realme 5 and eventually the Realme 5 Pro...

Lenovo Z6 Pro in for review

Lenovo's Z6 Pro was launched back in April but is only now making its way outside of China. It comes with a well-rounded spec sheet featuring the Snapdragon 855, up to 12GB RAM and a quad-camera array all for a starting price of around €500. The phone made its way to our office and we're getting ready to put it through the usual testing course but before we do so lets quickly go through its key features and see what you can expect. Starting off with the packaging, it's quite nice with a sleek matte box and a fabric-like look. The design of the Z6 Pro itself is fairly standard with a...

Week 32 in review: Samsung Galaxy Note10, Note10+, Exynos 9825 are here

It's official - the holiday flagship season is open and it's been kicked off by non other that Samsung's iconic big phone - the Galaxy Note. But this year there's a little twist - Samsung unveiled the 6.8-inch Galaxy Note10+ alongside a smaller 6.3-inch Galaxy Note10 - the first time we've seen a second Note device since 2014's Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 4 Edge. The new Galaxy Note 10 duo is powered by Samsung's 7nm Exynos 9825, which launched a few hours before them, have a gyro-enabled S Pen, centered in-display selfie camera and no headphone jack. Samsung also made a few other...

Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4 review

Intro Another year, another Mi Band from Xiaomi. Called Mi Band 4 in China and Mi Smart Band 4 on the international scene, the gadget sports an OLED screen with 16 million colors for the first time in the lineup. I had been using the Mi Band 3 on a daily basis, so switching to the Mi Smart Band 4 was a no-brainer. One trip to the Mi Store later, and here am I, staying with the current trends. Unboxing The new Mi Band has a tall retail box and you'd expect something massive to come out. In reality, half of it is empty - the top side is occupied by the rubber band and the...

Top 10 trending phones of week 32

Samsung already had a strong hold on our trending chart last week, but the launch of the Galaxy Note10 lineup led to an unprecedented dominance. The Korean company makes seven of the 10 most interesting phones of the past week, including all of the top 5. All four of the Galaxy Note10 versions made the chart, which is a rarity on its own - typically 5G versions get little exposure. The new more compact Galaxy Note10 claimed first, followed by the LTE and 5G versions of the Note10+. Long standing leaders Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 had to settle for fourth and fifth this time...

Flashback: Samsung Galaxy Note - the phablet that changed it all

Samsung published a timeline of its Galaxy Note phones counting up to number 10, but we wanted to focus more on the original - the Samsung Galaxy Note. It made its debut at IFA in late 2011 and is the original "phablet". There have been many large phones since, the Note's real trademark feature is the S Pen. Samsung Galaxy Note Many thought that Samsung has gone mad - the phone was entirely too large and styluses are outdated, they were saying. And they were partially right, styluses were needed for the small resistive screens that suffered from low sensitivity. However,...

Weekly poll: is the Samsung Galaxy Note10 duo a hit or a miss?

This week Samsung unveiled its latest Galaxy Note models and we got to spend some quality time with them - check out our review. But is this an S6 or an S8 moment? As you probably remember, the Galaxy S6 dropped the microSD card slot and sealed in the battery. And people were quite upset about it. The S7 brought back the card slot and added water resistance in lieu of a removable battery. With a few more tweaks, the Galaxy S8 was a hit - one of Samsung's most loved designs. So, let's recap the changes to the Note10 generation. It's split into two phones - the Galaxy Note10+, which...
