OnePlus 8 Pro gets torn down on video

A few days ago the OnePlus 8 Pro was announced, and it immediately starred in one of JerryRigEverything's trademark 'durability tests' on video. Now it's time for what is usually part two - namely, the teardown. This has been recorded on video too, of course. So if you derive pleasure from watching phone's insides being taken out one by one, then you're definitely going to enjoy this presentation. The OnePlus 8 Pro is harder to get into because of stronger adhesive, which is probably related to the handset's IP68 water and dust resistance. Zack from JerryRigEverything says this...

Strings of code that have been discovered through a deep dive inside WhatsApp's latest beta release have revealed that the service is preparing to up its maximum number of participants on a group audio or video call as well, in the near future. Currently, the...

Leaked iPhone SE (2020) video ad is all about peeling off the protective film

Apple's biggest launch in a while is its smallest (and least fresh, design-wise) smartphone in a while. We're talking about the iPhone SE (2020), of course, which is already having stock issues in the US. Its popularity isn't very surprising considering its price (especially compared to other iPhones), and while Apple released a promo video for it on the day of the announcement, we now have an upcoming video ad for you to watch. This hasn't yet been officially posted to any of Apple's accounts, but that's probably going to happen soon. It seems to be an ad made by Apple in...

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip update improves Flex Mode for the camera

Samsung's having a big day for updates today. Alongside the One UI 2.1 release for the Galaxy Note10 Lite, the company has also started sending out a new software version for the Galaxy Z Flip. This brings with it the April security patches, but also enhances Flex Mode for the camera. Before when using the built-in camera app in Flex Mode, the viewfinder would always be on the top side of the phone, with the controls on the lower side. But after you install the new version, you'll be able to flip that (excuse the pun). You just need to double tap on the preview window when you are in Flex...

Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite gets One UI 2.1 and April security patch

Last week Samsung started rolling out the update to One UI 2.1 for the Galaxy S10 Lite, and now it's time for the Note10 Lite to receive the same treat. These phones were announced at the same time, so in a way it's not at all surprising for these software rollouts to go out so soon after each other. The new update for the Note10 Lite also packs the April 2020 security patch level. The new software version is N770FXXU2BTD4 for models in Spain and the UAE, which is where the new release was spotted so far. As usual, expect it to reach more geographical areas in the near future. As it is a...

Today Apple started taking pre-orders for the new iPhone SE it unveiled earlier this week. The pre-orders went live in the US and over 40 other countries and territories. These pre-orders are supposed to start shipping in exactly one week from today, on April 24. However, if you haven't yet put in your pre-order in the US, you will actually have some more waiting to do until your brand new iPhone SE reaches you. That's because the delivery dates have already slipped to early May at this point, and obviously may slip even further in the next few hours or days. This means the new...

Even though Apple is supposed to introduce its new iPhone lineup this September, the smartphone maker is supposed to be already done with the design, or at least close to being don and luckily, someone got a hold of the CAD renders for the supposedly called iPhone 12 Pro Max. The new CAD renders reveal lots of new design changes, but it's also important to note that the design you see here is about 70% finished. TSMC changes its forecast for 2020 due to COVID-19

TSMC's forecast at the beginning of this year looked pretty promising with estimated 8% market growth excluding the memory chip sector. But during yesterday's investors conference, the company lowered its foundry market growth forecast to somewhere between 7 and 13%, down from 17%. TSMC was forced to adopt "a more conservative view of 2020" due to the decreasing demand of mobile devices from the end consumer due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The company expects this to be an issue for months to come. Market analysts cite 7-9% worldwide market decrease in smartphone sales throughout the...
