Last month, the Google Pixel 6 Pro appeared in a hands-on video, which didn't reveal much of significance new but gave us a quick 360-degree tour of the next-gen Pixel. The same source is back with another video, showing us the photos and videos taken from the Pixel 6 Pro. The new camera samples come from YouTuber M. Brandon Lee of This is Tech Today, which, he says, were acquired from a source in Nigeria. And in addition to showing us the Pixel 6 Pro's image and video quality, the YouTuber also gives us a glimpse of the camera app's UI. Pixel 6 • Pixel 6 Pro Besides, the EXIF...

T-Mobile unveils exclusive Google One Storage plan: $5/month for 500GB
T-Mobile customers will be able to buy a new storage tier that has not previously existed. A new 500GB storage plan on Google One will be available for $5 per month for existing T-Mobile customers. Although prices vary by country, the entry-level Google One plan in the US starts at $3/month for 200GB of storage. The next tier up is $10/month for 2TB of data. There is no in-between tier until now with the 500GB plan. Its worth noting that the $5/month plan still doesn't include the Google One VPN service, which comes with 2TB plans and above. "Google One for T-Mobile" is...

There's a lot going on in one day for Facebook and its associated brands. After several hours, it seems that most of Facebook's services (as well as Instagram and WhatsApp) are back online. We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.— Facebook (@Facebook) October 4, 2021 The outage is apparently attributed to...

Microsoft releases Windows 11
Microsoft today is officially releasing Windows 11 in its stable form worldwide. The update is free for existing Windows 10 users on compatible PCs. In order to upgrade to Windows 11, you can wait for the update to be made available to you through Windows Update. If your PC meets all requirements, then you should see Windows 11 be available as an update over the coming weeks. The other option is to download Microsoft's Windows 11 Download Assistant. This works similarly to the one that Microsoft had in place for Windows 10. The tool will download the update for you and then you...

OnePlus releases OxygenOS 12 Open Beta for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro
The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro have already received a couple of Android 12 Developer Preview builds in the past few months, but today the two phones are in for a different kind of treat. OnePlus is releasing the first OxygenOS 12 Open Beta build for them. As the name implies, this is based on Android 12 as well, but unlike the prior DP builds, OnePlus is integrating the new Android 12 codebase with its OxygenOS skin. Speaking of codebase integrations, one of those also occurred between OxygenOS 12 and ColorOS 12, and this, the company promises, will result in "delivering a fully upgraded...

We can expect the first OTA updates to start flying in on October 13 and Realme says it will be one of the first OEMs to upgrade its phones to Google's latest OS. The Realme UI 3.0 will arrive to Realme GT 5G first while the recently announced Realme GT Neo2 will ship with it out of the box as evidenced by these images we received. We are talking about the European and Indian variants as the Chinese model already launched with Realme UI...
Google "officially releases" Android 12 but the update for Pixels is only arriving "in the next few weeks"
Google has been running late with the release of Android 12, at least if we compare this year's timeline to the one from 2020 when it outed Android 11 on the first working Monday of September. Here we are today on the first working Monday of October, and Google is "officially releasing" Android 12, and pushing its source to the Android Open Source Project. And yet - if you're wondering about actual updates to Pixel phones, those are apparently only going to arrive "in the next few weeks". So a release that isn't a release - we thought we'd seen it all before, but this is a new flavor of...
Kickstarter: The Cyrcle Phone 2.0 has a round screen, two headphone jacks and two USB ports
Who remembers the Runcible? The round wooden puck was an oddly-shaped phone that was billed as the “anti-smartphone” during its crowdfunding campaign. Unfortunately, that project failed – was it because of the anti-smartphone sentiment or because of the unusual shape? It better not be the latter because here comes another phone with an unusual shape – the Cyrcle Phone 2.0. While the display is circular, the body is more elongated, forming an ellipse. We’re not sure either is a good idea. First, check out this grip – the phone measures 130mm tall, 103mm wide and 22mm thick (5.11 x...

The Moto G31 will have a 50MP camera, 5,000 mAh battery
A Motorola Moto G31 is on the way and it will wear a 50MP camera on its back. You can see it in the photos by the NCC that were taken as part of the certification process. There are two more modules and while their function is unknown, we can’t expect much given the relatively low standing of this phone. The battery was also photographed – a 5,000 mAh Li-Po cell – as was the charger that will be included in the box, a basic 10W adapter. It will connect to the phone using the supplied USB-A to C cable and speaking of cabling, there’s a 3.5 mm jack on the top side of the...

Samsung says that ray tracing is coming to mobile games with the Exynos 2200
Hardware-accelerated ray tracing appeared on desktop GPUs a few years ago, it is part of the current generation of consoles and will arrive on smartphones next year – Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2200 GPU is based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture and will keep the ray tracing support of the desktop and laptop GPUs. Samsung is boasting about the ray tracing support of the upcoming Exynos 2200 Ray tracing is a physically accurate simulation of how light bounces off objects, so it creates much more realistic reflections but also more photo-realistic lighting and shadows compared to the...
OnePlus 9RT stops by Geekbench to flex its Snapdragon 888 chipset
The OnePlus 9 RT is reportedly arriving on October 15, and leaksters claimed it will have a Snapdragon 870 chipset. This rumor appears to be wrong, as an upcoming OnePlus smartphone, likely the 9 RT, appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 888 chipset and 12 GB RAM. We are confident this is indeed the 2021 flagship chipset, since it is codenamed “lahaina”, while the Snapdragon 870 runs by the name “kona”. Performance-wise, the numbers for a single core and multiple cores are also closer to the Snapdragon 888, which would make the OnePlus 9 RT just a slight update over the OnePlus...
Tecno Camon 18P also has a 120Hz display and Helio G96 chip, the Camon 18 bets on 90Hz
Tecno unveiled the high-end Camon 18 Premiere, also new today are the Camon 18 and 18P models, which feature similar but more affordable hardware (though the company is mum on prices for the three models, so we don’t know how much more affordable yet). Tecno Camon 18P Let’s start with the Tecno Camon 18P. Similar to the Premiere, it has a 6.8” 120Hz display with 1,080 x 2,460 px resolution (20.5:9), though it is an LCD instead of an AMOLED. The display promises to deliver 550 nits of brightness. There is a 16MP punch hole camera on the front (instead of 32MP), there’s also an LED flash...
Apple to announce M1X-powered MacBook Pro this month
Apple often announces Mac products in October so the latest report from Mark Gurman seems more than believable. He says that Apple is right on track with its new M1X silicons and will announce the much-anticipated MacBook Pro. A new high-end Mac mini is also rumored to join the party. The chip itself will come in two variants and thus, two MacBook Pro variants are expected as well. Both alterations would sport 10-core CPU - eight of the cores will be high-performance for heavy lifting and the other two will be tailored towards power efficiency. The difference would be the GPU - either...
Realme GT Neo2 heading to Europe, price leaks
Realme unveiled the GT Neo2 two weeks ago, and we have a confirmation from Madhav Sheth, CEO, that the device will hit India this month. The executive is also head of the European division, and while he hasn’t said anything about the Old Continent, reports are the Snapdragon 870-powered phone will indeed hit the region as well. If the rumors are true, the Realme GT Neo2 will cost €369 or €459, depending on the memory choice - 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB respectively. It will be offered in three colors - Black, Blue, and Black Mint, which is Green with some fancy stripes on the back. The...
