The Honor 20 series which will be unveiled on May 21 will come to India on June 11. The lineup will consist of a vanilla Honor 20, a lite model, and a Pro variant. The Honor 20 lite will be a re-branded Honor 20i which is already available in China with Kirin 710 SoC. The vanilla model and the Pro version, on the other hand, will be powered by the flagship Kirin 980 chip. They are expected to ship with a punch-hole displays and upgraded cameras. Recently leaked details of the Honor 20 Pro suggest it will sport a quad camera setup which is a combination of a 48MP main, 16MP wide...

OnePlus 7 Pro's Zen Mode will make it to the 6T and 6, Nightscape 2.0 won't

The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro ship with OxygenOS 9.5, which has a few new features compared to the 9.0 builds that are still powering the OnePlus 6T from last year. Obviously 9.5 is still based on Android 9 Pie, but it comes with stuff such as Zen Mode - a feature that, when turned on, won't let you use your phone for 20 minutes (aside from receiving calls and making emergency calls and using the camera). And it's impossible to turn off before the time runs out. Why anyone would need anything like this on their phone is a debate for another time, the point is - this is coming to the...

Speaking of Vodafone, just yesterday it revealed that its 5G network is going live in seven cities in the UK on July 3, so if you'll have plenty of time to purchase an S10 5G if you want to make sure you can use the new airwaves since day one. EE on the other hand hasn't shared an exact launch date for its 5G network yet, only saying it's imminent. The Galaxy S10 5G will be out in Majestic Black and Crown Silver, and...

Here are Samsung's improvements to the Galaxy Fold

Samsung has been tirelessly working on improving the Galaxy Fold after it temporarily suspended its release rollout plans, following a bunch of problems that surfaced when the reviews came out. And now a report from its home country of Korea details those improvements. The company has apparently solved both of the main issues that were reported - stuff (such as dirt, lint, dust, sand, and so on) being able to get into the hinge and lodge beneath the display, causing lasting damage; as well as people being driven to remove a protective layer that sat on top of the display because it looked...

DJI Osmo Action is a 4K action camera with dual displays

DJI has announced its first action camera that directly takes on the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Called the Osmo Action, this $349 camera has several tricks up its sleeves, including two displays. Unlike all the GoPro models so far that have a color display on the back and a black white display on the front, the Osmo Action has a 1.4-inch full color display on the front that lets you shoot vlogs or self portraits. On the back is a 2.25-inch touchscreen display. The Osmo Action has a 1/2.3" 12MP CMOS sensor. It can shoot in 4K at up to 60 frames per second and 100Mbps bitrate. Or you can...

Apple's new marketing campaign in India says the iPhone 6s is "incredible"

Apple hasn't been doing very well in India, sales-wise, and the company is now looking to change its fortunes by banking on the iPhone 6s. That's not a typo, we really do mean the phone that made its debut in September of 2015. Apple's newest handsets are quite expensive (and that's an understatement) in the subcontinent, whereas the iPhone 6s starts at "just" INR 26,910 - the equivalent of $382 or €341 at the current exchange rates. That's great for an iPhone, but considering what the Android competition is offering at or around that price point, it remains to be seen how successful...

OnePlus 7 hands-on review

Yesterday OnePlus released its 7 Pro new flagship amid huge fanfare. That phone is a huge step for the maker as it aims to compete with the big guys on features rather than by just undercutting the price. But OnePlus also introduced the OnePlus 7 and a good argument can be made that it's the one to actually better represent the spirit of the OnePlus lineup. Here's why. The OnePlus 7 may seem severely watered down compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it really isn't. It makes do with a smaller screen - 6.41-inch compared to 6.67-inch - with a lower resolution and regular 60Hz refresh...

Asus takes a jab at OnePlus ahead of Zenfone 6 announcement

Asus took a thinly-veiled jab at OnePlus disguised as math - the Zenfone 6 will have a 5,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 3,700mAh capacity of the OnePlus 7. It's interesting that Asus didn't target the OnePlus 7 Pro, even though the "greater than" sign would still point towards the Zenfone (the Pro has a 4,000mAh battery). Asus takes a not-so-subtle swipe at OnePlus This seems to be about price - the OnePlus 7 Pro starts at €700, the non-Pro at €550. Leaked prices put the new Zenfone 6 at under €600. Remember that last year the Asus Zenfone 5z was the cheapest S845 phone in...

Motorola One Vision review

Even though Motorola is not the dominant maker it once was it was never afraid to innovate and push the envelope. The company is even looking to release a foldable phone, reviving the RAZR series, but that doesn't mean it's overlooking its midrange lineup. The company wants to stay up to date with the current trends and offer a rare set of features for the asking price and it delivered the Motorola One Vision.

Customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy Fold are getting reward points

Samsung should announce a new launch date for the Galaxy Fold soon, but it seems that people who pre-ordered the foldable flagship are getting antsy. To keep them from canceling their pre-orders, Samsung is offering them reward points. The Galaxy Fold is $1,980 and Samsung offers 2 points for every $1 spent on smartphones. So, that's a total of 3,960 points. 200 points can be redeemed for $1, which works out to just under $20. If you pre-ordered, check your Samsung account to see if you received the reward points. You can redeem them at Samsung.com or the Samsung App store....

Just 40 days after the new Galaxy A series became in India, Samsung reported that it has sold 2 million units. Now, 30 days later, that number has more than doubled to a total of 5 million units. The Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung India spoke with Reuters, saying that this generated a revenue north of $1 billion. Samsung reportedly expects the revenue for the fiscal year 2019 to reach $4 billion. Considering that Samsung's revenue in India for the fiscal 2018 (which ended in March) was $5.3 billion, it seems that Samsung expects most of its sales to be generated by the new Galaxy A...

The dimensions are 158 x 68.3 x 8.3mm, which while longer is narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S10e, so we can finally expect another compact flagship from Sony. Inside the phone will have the Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB...

Realme X review

Realme X brings elevating selfie camera and 48MP main snapper, X Lite tags along

It's official - the Realme X is here and it's the most premium phone the brand has ever put out. Alongside it the company unveiled the Realme X Lite, which is merely the Chinese name for the Realme 3 Pro. Think of the Realme X as a Realme 3 Pro with a bigger, now AMOLED screen and the OnePlus 7 (non-Pro) cameras. Now let's dig in. The Realme X has a 6.5-inch 1080p AMOLED with an in-display fingerprint scanner and no notch. Realme has achieved this by tucking the selfie camera into a motorized pop-up mechanism behind the display. The in-display fingerprint scanner is an optical...

Oppo Reno Gundam edition surfaces

Hot on the heels of the F11 Pro Avengers Endgame edition, Oppo is bringing another limited edition phone dedicated to Gundam. Oppo Reno's Weibo account confirmed the partnership and thanks to some leaks we see the phone's design inspired by the Japanese robot anime series. The new device will bring a punch hole display with the selfie camera centered at the top (which would be a first) and minimal bezels all around. The back panel will have a sleek Gundam robot alongside a dual camera setup with flash. Given the absence of a physical fingerprint sensor in the photos, we can expect the...
