OnePlus opens three new experience stores in India on July 28

OnePlus announced today it is opening three new authorized offline stores. They will be in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kolkata and the launch will be on July 28 at 11 AM. HomePod private beta enables phone calls functionality

Apple is seeding a private beta for its corporate and some retail employees that is said to have some useful new features that could be coming to the final build later. As reported by Android Police, Google Assistant can now be asked to initiate a video call with a contact in your device. Just ask Google Assistant to "Video call _____" followed by the contact's name. It worked perfectly on our Pixel 2 and we were able to instantly jump into a call. Samsung has been gearing up for its announcement of its next-generation smartwatch. FCC filings have already pre-confirmed that it will not be called the Samsung Gear S4, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Huawei is rolling out an update for the Honor View 10 - EMUI 8.0.0.161 that brings a few new features. The camera now support EIS for video recording, which should result in less shaky videos. Nokia will expand the market availability of the Nokia 6.1 Plus further by bringing it to Taiwan. The phone which launched in China in May as the Nokia X6 became available last week in Honk Kong. Qualcomm unveils 5G antennas for the X50 modem: up to four in a phone with MIMO

The Qualcomm X50 modem promises stunning speeds of 5Gbps, but it will need the right antennas to get there. The company just unveiled its first antennas for millimeter wave and for sub-6GHz communication. What's the difference? Millimeter wave operates at very high frequencies - the QTM052 antenna works above 26GHz and even in the 37-40GHz range and it can receive up to 800MHz of bandwidth. Samsung India has just issued a press release, stating that 2 million units of the Galaxy J8 and the Galaxy J6 have been sold. The company claimed the models were attracting 50,000 consumers a day since the launch of the J6 on May 22 and the arrival of the J8 at the start of this month. In these ads Samsung depicts a faux Apple store with an Apple Genius Bar employee that answers iPhone X questions from pro-Galaxy S9/S9+ users. Apple reportedly talking to BOE for OLED displays for future iPhones

LG was set to supply OLED panels to Apple for the iPhone sequels and while that deal is still in motion, it looks like it won't take over from Samsung as the primary supplier. The latest rumors claims that China's BOE will have that honor. But the deal is yet to be finalized. Sony introduces IMX586 smartphone camera with 48 MP Quad Bayer sensor

Sony introduced its latest CMOS image sensor for smartphones. It is called IMX586 and has 48 megapixels, each of them only 0.8 μm in size, stacked onto a 1/2-type unit. It will begin arriving at smartphones as early as September 2018. Sony said in a press release the increased pixel count will enable high-quality photos even when devices are using digital zoom. The Meizu 16 Plus has appeared in a duo of new snaps in the wild, showing off its nearly bezel-free front in blurry fashion.
