Xiaomi confirms arrival of Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra at March 29 event

Xiaomi has scheduled yesterday a “Mega Launch”, without actually telling what will be unveiled at the online event. Today the company lifted the curtain on Weibo, revealing the worst-kept secret - we’ll see the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, just like we expected. The poster does not say anything about a Mi 11 Lite, simply because the Lite series sells under a different name in China, and this particular phone might be launched later for the domestic scene. In the Weibo post, Xiaomi said the two new phones will be challengers for the “Best Android smartphone” title and will be the...

The whole event will be live-streamed on YouTube, and we’ve provided a link to watch along. It is scheduled to begin at 13:30 WIB, or 06:30 AM UTC. The key features of the Realme C25 are already on the company's website - a Helio G70 chipset, three cameras with the main one having a 48MP sensor and a big 6.5” display. Other...

Oppo Reno5 Lite key specs revealed by Geekbench

An Oppo smartphone bearing model designation PELM00 and believed to be the Reno5 Lite was certified by China's 3C with 30W charging last December. Now the same device has passed through Geekbench, revealing key specs in the process. The benchmark database reveals that PELM00 is powered by the MT6853V/TNZA, which we know is the Dimensity 800U. The smartphone runs Android 11, likely with ColorOS 11.1 on top, and the unit that ran the benchmark test has 8GB RAM onboard. Although there could be other memory options as well that are yet to be confirmed. Geekbench doesn't reveal anything...

Samsung double-folding phone coming this year, report claims

What's next after folding smartphones? Well, some manufacturers seem to think it's rollables, others - like Samsung - have another idea. Enter the double-folding phone. Or dual-folding. Or DualFold. Whatever you want to call it, a new report from Nikkei Asia claims the Korean company is working on just such a device. It should allegedly be out by the end of the year, and Samsung has so far filed multiple patent applications for such a double-hinged design, apparently. This will be a new form factor to complement the others in its roster. The successors to the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Z Flip are...

OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro Android 11 update seems to be rolling out now

If you own one of OnePlus' four high-end smartphones from 2019, you've been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting a lot of time for the company to release a non-beta finalized stable Android 11 build for your phone, be that the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, or 7T Pro. And it looks like your wait might be almost over. There's no official announcement from OnePlus yet (it could be waiting until tomorrow's OnePlus 9 series unveiling event for that though), but an over-the-air rollout seems to be underway for the update to OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 for the 7 and 7T series. We're seeing...

Report: LG considers shutting down mobile division after sale talks fall through

There have been a string of reports that LG is quitting the smartphone business or at least scaling it back. So far, each has been followed by the company denying such claims. Korean publication dongA adds another such report (citing an industry insider) and it sounds like the worst case scenario is the likely outcome. LG was reportedly in talks with Vingroup as well as Volkswagen as potential buyers for the company’s mobile business. Negotiations on both fronts has failed, reports the publication – with around 1% global market, the asking price was just too high. This leaves one option...

However, Italy is a week ahead of everyone and a couple of local stores already list the Lite. Tecnosell caught the error and has since removed all references to the phone. But nothing can truly be removed from the internet, so here are some official images of the phone. The store even had an unboxing video, but that has now been removed as well. OnePlus Nord N1 CAD-based renders show minor redesign over the current N10

Nord N10’s successor may or may not be called OnePlus Nord N1 (the alleged code name for this device is “Ebba”). Details about the phone are still pretty sparse, but OnLeaks has prepared 3D renders and has some additional information to share. The phone will have a metal frame and (likely) a plastic back (the current N10 is all plastic). The dimensions are 162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4 mm, going up to 10.3 mm once you include the triple camera bump. Those are roughly the same dimensions as the current model and the same goes for the display – a flat 6.49” panel with a single punch hole in the...

OnePlus 9 series to arrive with ColorOS 11 in China, global units will stick to OxygenOS
