The day of the launch has finally arrived, and the device is up for sale. The arrival at the Indian market might be quite late, compared with the EU and US markets, but at least it comes with a surprise - the phone listed is actually the G7+ ThinQ with 128 GB storage and an attractive price tag of INR39,990 ($580/€505). Samsung Galaxy Note9 promo videos are up

Samsung's big Galaxy Note9 announcement is now over and done so it's time to bring out the promo videos. In this case there are a total of six of them and they focus on the hot points of the new phone. The first one focuses on the improved design and the slightly bigger Infinity Display. The second and third video are focused on the new Bluetooth S Pen. The fourth video is about the new Intelligent Camera. We're glad Samsung zigged and didn't call the camera AI. We can't wait to give the new camera software a spin. The penultimate video is all about the Galaxy...

First Galaxy Note9 teardown reveals bigger battery, smaller circuitry than Note8

If you simply can't have enough Galaxy Note9-related news today, our next item on the menu is a teardown. Although the phone has only been official for a few hours, some enterprising folks in Russia have already torn it down and compared its innards to those of its predecessor, the Note8. The Galaxy Note9 packs a bigger battery as you know, but it still has the same cell density - what with Samsung wanting to avoid another Note7 fiasco on its hands. That means the new model's battery takes up more space inside than the Note8's, and yet the two are overall very similar in size. That magic...

Samsung Galaxy Note9 accessories: dual wireless charger and many cases

Along with the Galaxy Note9, Samsung unveiled a dollop of accessories - mostly cases, but also a wireless charger the likes of which Apple has been promising, but is yet to deliver. That's the Wireless Charger Duo, which can charge both your Note9 (or other Galaxy with wireless charging) and your Galaxy Watch smartwatch simultaneously. It works with all Qi devices, though wireless fast charging is Samsung-only. This one is coming soon. Wireless Charger Duo in Black and...

You've probably seen our announcement post, our hands-on review, and the details regarding prices and availability, so now how about an unboxing video? It's not your average unboxing video, though. T-Mobile has in the past used some pretty wild settings for unboxing new phones, and in this case the company's resident unboxer @AskDes decided to create an all-day unboxing to basically see if he'd last longer than the phone. Well, spoiler alert: no. Then again, let's not forget that the day included one...

Samsung Galaxy Note9 goes live with better S Pen, bigger battery and screen

It's finally official - the Samsung Galaxy Note9 takes its place at the helm of Samsung's smartphone lineup. At first glance the new Note looks like a small update over the Galaxy Note8, but there are a host of meaningful improvements. To start with the Samsung Galaxy Note9 has mostly retained the footprint of its predecessor but added a bigger 6.4-inch screen (notchless, naturally) and a 20% bigger 4,000mAh battery. The display is the biggest flagship screen Samsung has ever put on a phone. At 6.4-inch it's just 0.1-inch bigger than the Galaxy Note8's and it shares its 1440x2960px...

Fortnite demoed on Samsung Galaxy S9+ ahead of Galaxy Note9 announcement

Samsung has teamed up with Epic Games to deliver the popular battle royal game Fortnite to the Galaxy Note9 exclusively for 30 days, so naturally it has been sideloaded to run on other devices. In a collaborative effort from XDA members thesbros, Quinny899 and Max Weinbach the Fortnite Android APK was installed and played on a Samsung Galaxy S9+. The game doesn't seem to run on rooted devices (so as to safeguard against cheating) although the XDA team managed to make the game run on both a rooted Essential Phone and a rooted Google Pixel 2 XL. Alleged specs suggest the Sony Xperia XZ3 will use XZ2 Premium's dual camera

A new leak disputes an earlier one that claimed the Sony Xperia XZ3 will have a single 48MP camera. Instead, it will use the same dual camera module as the XZ2 Premium. That's a 19MP module with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP module with f/1.6 aperture. There's no zoom here, the fields of view are just too similar - 25mm and 22mm respectively. The 13MP selfie camera (f/2.0) sounds like it was lifted off the Premium model too. This isn't a Premium model, however. The screen is listed as 5.7" 1,080 x 2,160px, same as the XZ2. And it will use the Snapdragon 845 chipset, making this a mid-season...

Three new model numbers M1808D2TE, M1808D2TT and M1808D2TC popped up on 3C certification website that are believed to be different modifications of the handset. Four phones, in particular, entered the 9.0 Beta on August 6. As expected, all four smartphones are flagships - Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10 and Honor V10 and it goes without saying that the P20 Pro is implied. Since Huawei is using a heavy skin overlay, it will take some time to tweak the Android 9.0 Pie OS.
