Xiaomi Mi A3 in for review

Xiaomi's A-series just got a new member, the stock Android lineup welcoming the Mi A3. The phone is somewhat odd, offering a number of upgrades over last year's Mi A2, but also a few downgrades. The Mi A3 is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset based on the more efficient 11nm manufacturing process, but also sporting a slower CPU than the Mi A2's S660. The display is virtually the same according to the specs sheet in terms of size - 6.01" vs 5.99", you get less screen real estate. Plenty of you voiced concerns about specs like the HD+ screen and the fact that you can get mightier Xiaomi phones at a similar price. Flashback: Project Ara promised easy to upgrade modular phones but never delivered

The IBM PC was unveiled in 1981 and thanks to a strange decision by IBM, it became the granddaddy of most desktop and laptop computers today. Instead of making everything in-house (as with previous IBM projects), the design team decided to outsource as much as possible. Since the PC used an Intel processor (8088) and Microsoft software (PC-DOS and Microsoft BASIC), this was the birth of the "Wintel" behemoth. Mobile phones never really had an "IBM...
