More Oppo K7x specs appear ahead of launch

Oppo is launching the K7x smartphone on Wednesday, November 4, and initially, the company revealed this device will have a “biiiiig” battery. Now the phone with model number PDM00 appeared on Geekbench with a Dimensity 720 5G chipset, while a new official Weibo post unveiled an LCD panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The benchmarked unit had 8 GB RAM which is rather impressive for such an entry-level handset. We can also see it will come with Android 10 out of the box which is likely with ColorOS 7 on top. The official post, however, also said the K7x will have a 180 Hz touch sampling...

Samsung Galaxy Watch3 Titanium hands-on

Samsung is a key player in the smart wearable business and its current line of Tizen-powered Galaxy Watch3 smartwatches are among the most popular around. But up until September the Galaxy Watch3 line didn't have a truly premium model on sale to compete with rivals like the premium Apple Watch versions or the recently released Huawei Watch GT2 Pro. Well at the start of this month the company finally gave us the Galaxy Watch3 Titanium. Coming in a bigger box that the usual Galaxy Watch3, the Titanium model features a Mystic Black metal strap with removable links so that you can achieve...

nubia Watch review

What started out as just a concept device with the nubia Alpha turned into the perfectly viable nubia Watch. Is it a wearable phone as nubia puts it or is it just an oversized smartwatch? Well, it’s more of an in-between. It can do smartphone-independent voice calls and it's not exactly a proper smartwatch so you can’t have third-party apps. Huge screen aside it's closer in functionality to a smart band than a phone. But it is a design marvel above all else. There are different takes on what it resembles with some calling it an electronic tag bracelet (ankle monitor) while other...

Top 10 trending phones of week 44

Apple's new iPhone 12 lineup used the relatively calm week to reinforce its grip on our trending chart. The iPhone 12 Pro Max keeps its lead, while the 12 Pro and 12 rejoin it on the podium after the Mate 40 hype died down a bit. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G was the clearly the most significant announcement of the week, shooting up to fourth, while the N100, which debuted alongside it didn't make the top 10. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ is the only member of the lineup to retain its spot on the chart with the Mate 40 Pro and the RS Porsche Design losing their inertia and getting...

Week 44 in review: Xiaomi Redmi K30S, OnePlus Nord N10 and N100 official

Welcome to your week's recap. The biggest story was the arrival of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and the N100 are both affordable midrangers with LCDs, but only the N10 5G has a high refresh rate screen, which OnePlus has called a non-negotiable part of any OnePlus phone. The Nord N10 5G costs €350/£330, while the N100 is €200/£180. Xiaomi had an accouncement of its own - Redmi K30S. The Redmi K30S is a rebranded Xiaomi Mi 10T for markets where Redmi's brand is more recognized. Reservations for the phone are open and the first flash sale is coming November 11. The Redmi K30S starts at CNY2,599...

Turboant X7 Pro electric scooter review

Introduction Wait, what kind of phone is this? Well, it's not. It's a change of pace compared to our usual content, for sure. That being said, we are all major geeks here at GSMArena, and beyond our shared and utter passion for mobile phones, we also have broader tech interest and knowledge. Servers and PCs, cameras, drones, cars, and even smart appliances. Chances are that you can find at least one expert on any tech topic on the team. Electric scooters, in particular, are a shared passion for a few of our team members. We have around 7 different electric scooters among us -...

Amazfit GTR 2 in for review

A little over a year later, Huami introduces the successors of the popular and critically-acclaimed Amazift GTR and GTS smart wearables. We have been in possession of the GTR 2 for a while now and we are currently subjecting it to our testing procedures, but while you wait for those to complete here's a quick first-look at the device. The new Amazfit GTR 2 packs a 1.39-inch AMOLED panel with 454x454 pixels resolution just like the first GTR. However, the new design trims the bezels around and tucks them under the glass, giving it a more modern and sleek look. Also the body is smaller...

Weekly poll: will the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 fly or die?

In the beginning, OnePlus released only one phone a year. Then two. In 2020, the company has already unveiled six new models (not counting carrier-specific variants) and it’s the last two phones that are now in the spotlight. The two Nord-series phones are the most affordable OnePlus devices yet, but at what cost? Well, the OLED panels are gone, for starters, replaced by LCD. And the premium chipsets are no more. Let’s have a closer look, starting with the better-specced model. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G costs €350/£330, which is €50/£50 less than the original Nord (in the 8/128 GB...
